svenandcalle

svenandcalle are a directing duo based in Stockholm, Sweden. They specialise in creating performance-orientated commercials and have been working together since 1998. With an emphasis on great casting, they are known for their ability to coax out dynamic and often hilarious performances from their actors.

Sven worked at an agency as a creative for 10 years before he decided to venture into the film world.
He and a partner founded Rally TV – which established itself as one of Sweden’s most successful and awarded production companies during the nineties. Sven has directed documentaries, TV comedy shows and of course many commercials.

Calle spent several years as a freelance editor in Stockholm- cutting for many of the industries A-list directors. He was hired as a director at Rally TV where he and Sven decided to pool their talent and team up. Calle edits the majority of the team’s projects, which allows him to bring his unique vision and timing to their work.

svenandcalle are well known as storytelling/comedy directors and they have garnered awards in most of the big international advertising festivals including Cannes, the Clio’s, The NY Film Festival and Eurobest. Their works appears regularly on SHOTS and in 2007 their commercial for VW (‘Dress’) was voted as one of the all time top 100 commercials in the world.
